Rooms with a View
The resort boasts 700 feet of shoreline with an expansive lawn leading to the lake. There are a variety of accommodations and each one has a view of the water. Many of the buildings feature porches, decks, balconies, fireplaces and whirlpool tubs.
Get in on the Action
Get out on the water and explore the many coves and islands of Lake Wallenpaupack. The resort offers canoes, kayaks and stand up paddle boards. Paddle along the lake’s 52 miles of shoreline at your own pace.
Take a Lake Break
Sometimes the best thing to do is nothing. Settle yourself in one of the comfy lakeside Adirondack Chairs with a good book and enjoy the views as you soak up some sun. Listen to the tunes. Lakeside Live provides music all weekend long.
Refresh Your Senses
Make your way to Bingham Park and peruse the offerings at the Hawley Farmers’ Market. Every Friday from May through October, the park along Main Street hosts a bevy of local vendors offering everything from fresh produce and plants to eggs, baked goods, crafts, honey, maple syrup, flowers, cheese and more. Stroll the grounds from 2-5:30 p.m. and see what’s in season.
Sights to See
The Wallenpaupack Lake Trail is one of the best vantage points to enjoy the lake. The paved level path runs along the top of the dike and to the Lake Wallenpaupack Visitors Center. Benches along the path offer the opportunity to pause and soak in the scenery as the lake stretches out before you. The trailhead starts in the parking area just past the Route 6/Route 507 interchange.
Cheers to Sunset
When daylight begins to fade, join us for a complimentary champagne toast at sunset. We raise a glass to a day on the lake and the beauty of the setting sun before us.
Get Hooked
Normally you need a license to fish in Pennsylvania, but Sunday, May 28 is one of only two days all year when everyone can cast a line. Residents and non-residents can fish PA waterways on Fish for Free Days. Check out everything you need to know about fishing Lake Wallenpaupack here.
Warm Wishes
When the sun sets and there’s a slight chill in the air, find a spot around one of the resort’s fire pits. Enjoy s’mores, star gaze and listen to the night sounds as they wash over the lake.
Make a Great Start
Brunch at our sister property, The Settlers Inn is an event. Memorial Day Weekend brings three opportunities to enjoy an unforgettable meal, either in the dining room or on the deck overlooking the manicured garden. Dine Saturday and Monday a la carte or Sunday’s Prix Fixe menu.
Delight in Dinner
Dining al fresco is one of the great joys of summer. Dining outdoors overlooking Lake Wallenpaupack takes things to whole other level. Grab a table on the outdoor deck at The Dock and enjoy a combination of water-inspired foods and creative twists on classic dishes. Sunsets here are legendary, so be sure to save room for dessert so you can savor the view.
Salute to Service
There’s nothing more Americana than a small-town parade. Hawley pulls out all the stops for its Memorial Day Parade, scheduled for Sunday, May 28. The parade begins at 1 p.m. at Riverside Park. Marching bands, floats and community organizations pay tribute to members of the U.S. military past and present as they proceed down Main Street to Bingham Park. A Memorial Day Service will take place immediately after the parade at the Veterans Monument on Park Place. Hawley’s Memorial Day Parade is a long-standing tradition that traces its roots back to the early 1900s when it was led by local veterans of the Civil War.
